Ryan Hendley, CBSE — CEO
Ryan, the eldest son of founder Dick Hendley holds a B.S. in Business from Gardner Webb and a Masters in PE from East Tennessee State University and upon graduation pursued a career as a small college football coach where he honed his skills as a leader and team builder. 10 years later the family business came calling and in 1983 he rejoined Gatekeeper Services as a District Manager and began a deliberate process of learning the business from the ground up. He has held all intermediate leadership positions to include VP of Operations and President. He assumed his current position as CEO of Gatekeeper Services in 1993 and also serves as CEO of our wholly-owned Gatekeeper as well as our sister company Pinnacle Staffing.
Ryan is well known throughout the company as a “people person” and strives to continue the culture that his father Dick created in 1955 that puts the safety and well-being of our 3000+ associates first and foremost. In 2010, Ryan led the company effort to implement a long term strategy that was focused on “Delivering the Ultimate Customer Experience” a strategy that required re-engineering many of our processes, further developing our leadership and management skills and integrating state of the art technology to ensure we exceeded our customers’ expectations in both quality and performance. He has become the “face” of our “12 Steps to Zero” safety program and has placed safety as our number 1 priority in everything we do.
Ryan proudly served as the President of the BSCAI (Building Services Contractors Association International) in 2003 and has also obtained the designation CBSE (Certified Building Services Executive) which is the highest certification in the industry.
